Techrethought is a web design company in Chennai that plans, designs and builds business websites, from a few clear pages to a full online store. We build on WordPress, Shopify or custom code, set every page up to be found in search, and hand over a site your team can update.
Everything a business website needs to go live and be found: a page plan, a design made for your brand, the build, search basics, launch and a handover, as one piece of work rather than separate jobs.
Client sites we designed, built or both, each shown with what we did for it. Every one is live, so you can open it and judge the work for yourself.

Before design starts, we fix the points the work has to pass through: what the site is for, who it serves, the pages, the platform, the content and the schedule. You agree them first, and the quote follows from them.
The goal
What the website has to do for the business: bring enquiries, take orders, answer common questions, or reassure people who already know your name. One main goal shapes every page.
The audience
Who will visit and what they need to find. Website design for a small business serving local customers is planned differently from a store or a firm with clients abroad.
The pages and their content
A list of pages, what each one says and who supplies the text and photos. Late content is a common cause of delay, so it is planned up front.
The platform
WordPress, Shopify or custom code, chosen for what the site has to do and for who will update it after launch.
What it connects to
Anything the site must work with: a payment gateway, a booking or CRM tool, email, WhatsApp or a system you already run.
Schedule and sign-off
Dates for each stage and who approves what, agreed before work starts, so nobody is left waiting on a decision.
Every website moves through the same steps, with dates for each agreed before work starts. You see the work at each stage, not only at the end.
A short call or meeting to understand the business, then the plan in writing: goal, audience, pages, platform, content and schedule, with a quote.
The page map and simple layouts of the key pages, so the order of information is agreed before colour and type come in.
Designs for the home page and the main page types, for phone and desktop, made in Figma, reviewed with you and revised before the build starts.
The approved design built on the chosen platform, with content in place, forms connected and search basics set, on a private preview link you can check.
Every page checked on phones and desktops and in the common browsers, for speed, broken links, forms and readability, before anything goes public.
The site goes live on your domain and is checked again once public. You get the logins and a walkthrough, and ongoing care is available as a separate service.
WordPress for sites your team will edit often, Shopify for online stores, and custom code where a site needs something specific. Designs are made in Figma and Adobe tools.

It depends on scope: the number of pages, whether you need an online store, how much content has to be written, and the platform. A few clear pages on WordPress cost far less than a large store or a custom-built site. We quote after a short call, once the plan is clear.
It depends mostly on the number of pages, how quickly content and feedback arrive, and whether the site takes payments or connects to other systems. We agree a schedule with dates for each stage before work starts, so you know when to expect each part.
Most do. Customers look a business up before they call or visit, and a website is the one place where you decide what they find: what you offer, where you are and how to reach you. It also gives your Google Business Profile, ads and social posts a page to send people to.
For most small business sites, yes. It is easy for your team to edit, has plugins for most common needs, and handles search basics well. It does need regular updates to stay secure, so plan for that after launch.
WordPress suits sites your team will edit often, such as service businesses, firms and blogs. Shopify suits online stores that need products, payments and stock in one place. Custom code suits sites that must do something specific, such as connect to your own software, and we recommend one during planning, with the reasons.
A static website serves the same fixed pages to every visitor and is changed by editing its files. A dynamic website builds its pages from a database, so content can be edited from a dashboard and the site can handle logins, search or orders. WordPress and Shopify sites are dynamic.
Web design decides how a site looks and reads: layout, colour, type, images and the order of information. Web development turns that design into a working site: the code, the content system, forms, speed and security. We do both, so one team carries the site from first sketch to launch.
Yes, website builders have free plans, and they can work for a personal page or a first test. A business usually outgrows them, because free plans tend to show the builder's branding, limit the use of your own domain and make it hard to move later. A paid domain, hosting and a proper build give you a site you own and control.
Tell us what the site needs to do and what you have today. We will reply with questions, then a plan and a quote.
