Techrethought is a branding agency in Chennai that designs logos and brand identities for new and growing businesses. We work out how the business should look, set its logo, colours and type in a short guide, and carry them onto everything people see: visiting cards, brochures, signage, the website and social posts.
A logo and the system around it: colours, type and the rules for using them, the everyday print and screen pieces built from them, and every file in the formats printers and web designers ask for.
Client businesses whose branding we did, each shown with everything else we did for them. Every site is live, so you can see the identity at work in its own setting.

Before any logo is drawn, we agree what the brand has to say, to whom, and everywhere it has to appear. You approve a short written brief, and the quote and schedule follow from it.
The business and its customers
What you sell, who buys it and who you compete with. A brand for an accounting firm has to reassure; a brand for a clothing label has to stand out on a shelf and on a phone screen.
What stays and what changes
For an established business, which parts of the current look customers already recognise, and whether the job is a refresh or a new identity.
Where the brand will appear
The full list: shop sign, visiting card, invoice, website header, social profile, uniform or vehicle. It decides which logo versions are needed and how small the mark must still read.
The name and wording
The business name exactly as it should be written, and any tagline, fixed before design starts so the logo is drawn around the right words.
Pieces, reviews and dates
Which pieces are included, how design directions are presented and reviewed, who gives the final approval, and the date for each stage, agreed before work starts.
From brief to research, a first set of design directions, one direction refined with you, then the guidelines and every file. Dates for each stage are agreed before work starts.
A call or meeting about the business, its customers and where the brand will appear, written up as a brief with the pieces, the schedule and a quote for you to approve.
A look at your market, your competitors and what customers already see of you, so the new identity stands apart instead of blending in.
A small number of distinct logo directions, each shown in use on a visiting card, a sign and a profile picture, so you judge them as customers will see them.
The chosen direction refined with you: shapes, colours and type adjusted, then checked at very small sizes and in a single colour, where weak logos fail.
The palette, typefaces and guidelines set from the approved logo, and the agreed print and screen pieces designed from them.
Every file exported, named and checked, the guidelines and source files handed over, and the print files sent to your printer if you ask.
Logos are drawn in Adobe Illustrator as vector artwork, so they stay sharp from a visiting card to a hoarding. Layouts, templates and screen pieces are made in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.

It depends on what you need. A logo on its own costs far less than a full identity with guidelines, stationery and templates, and a new brand needs more research than a refresh of one customers already know. We quote after a short call, once the brief is clear.
Start with the brief, not the drawing: who your customers are, what they should feel and every place the logo will appear. Keep the shape simple enough to read at the size of a phone icon and in one colour, then test it on a visiting card and a sign before you commit. If you would rather hand the work over, that is what we do.
Brand identity is the set of visual elements that make a business recognisable: the logo, colours, typefaces, image style and the rules for using them together. In practice it also includes the pieces built from it, such as visiting cards, letterheads, social templates and a guidelines document. Its job is to make everything you put out look like it came from the same company.
A logo is a single mark that identifies the business. A brand is what people think and feel about the business, shaped as much by the product, the service and the way you treat customers as by design. The identity, meaning the logo, colours and type, is the visible part that makes the brand easy to recognise.
If the name and logo are central to the business, registering them as a trademark is worth considering, because it gives you legal rights against copies. It is a legal process, so speak to a trademark attorney or agent; we do not file trademarks. It helps to have the name searched before the logo is final, and we supply the finished artwork the application needs.
Brand guidelines are a short document explaining how to use the identity: logo versions and spacing, minimum sizes, colour values for print and screen, typefaces, and examples of right and wrong use. They let a printer, a new designer or your own staff produce material that matches without checking with anyone. Every identity we design comes with them.
It depends on whether you need a logo alone or a full identity, how many directions you want to see, and how quickly feedback comes back. Waiting for decisions often takes longer than the design itself, so we agree who approves each stage at the start. The schedule, with dates for each stage, is fixed before work starts.
Customers decide quickly whether a business looks established enough to trust, often from a visiting card, a sign or a social profile. A consistent identity makes a small business look organised, and easier to recognise and remember next to competitors who all look alike. It also saves time, because every new flyer or post starts from the same rules instead of from nothing.
Send us what you have today, even if it is only a name, and where the brand has to appear. We will come back with questions, then a brief and a quote.
