01 · The brief

What is Aspire Academy, and what does this study cover?

Aspire Academy is a coaching institute in Chennai for students preparing for the CA, CMA and CS exams, taught face to face, live online and by recorded lectures. It needed a website where a student could find the batch for their course, level and way of studying, then enrol and pay online.

The website is the only work for this client on record, and the record is the site's own footer, which credits Techrethought with designing and developing it. This study therefore covers the website alone.

02 · Challenges

What did the website have to organise?

One subject can run as several batches at once, split by exam sitting, group and mode, so the site had to help a student reach the one batch that fits.

  • Batches that multiply

The same course appears as separate face-to-face, live online and recorded batches, and again for each group of papers.

  • Fees paid online

Each batch page shows its fee, its duration and its number of lessons beside an Add to cart button. Enrolment had to work like a shop, with a cart, a checkout and an account for each student.

  • Who teaches which paper

The institute teaches through a team of faculty, each taking particular subjects. The site had to show students who teaches each paper before they choose a batch.

03 · What we built

What did we design and develop for Aspire Academy?

The site's footer credits Techrethought with designing and developing the website, and these are its main parts as they stand on the live site.

A page for every batch

Student accounts and checkout
Students can register for an account, sign in with a password, an emailed link or a passkey, and pay for a batch through a cart and checkout.
Faculty and their subjects
The Our Team page introduces each faculty member, with the subjects they teach and a line about their background.
A searchable table of past students
A page reached from the About us menu lists past students by course, group and exam sitting, in a table that can be filtered by course and searched.
Contact, blog and policies
The contact page holds the address, phone, email, a contact form and a Google map, and the footer links the blog and the refund, privacy and terms pages.
