# Aspire Academy: the website of a CA, CMA and CS coaching institute

Techrethought designed and developed the website of Aspire Academy, which coaches students in Chennai for the CA, CMA and CS exams. The site carries a catalogue of batches that students can filter by course, level and mode of study, with a page, a fee and online enrolment for each one.

## The brief: What is Aspire Academy, and what does this study cover?

Aspire Academy is a coaching institute in Chennai for students preparing for the CA, CMA and CS exams, taught face to face, live online and by recorded lectures. It needed a website where a student could find the batch for their course, level and way of studying, then enrol and pay online.

The website is the only work for this client on record, and the record is the site's own footer, which credits Techrethought with designing and developing it. This study therefore covers the website alone.

## Challenges: What did the website have to organise?

One subject can run as several batches at once, split by exam sitting, group and mode, so the site had to help a student reach the one batch that fits.

- **Batches that multiply**: The same course appears as separate face-to-face, live online and recorded batches, and again for each group of papers.
- **Fees paid online**: Each batch page shows its fee, its duration and its number of lessons beside an Add to cart button. Enrolment had to work like a shop, with a cart, a checkout and an account for each student.
- **Who teaches which paper**: The institute teaches through a team of faculty, each taking particular subjects. The site had to show students who teaches each paper before they choose a batch.

## What we built: What did we design and develop for Aspire Academy?

The site's footer credits Techrethought with designing and developing the website, and these are its main parts as they stand on the live site.

- **A course catalogue with filters**: The courses page lists the batches as cards, with filters for course, level, group, mode of study and price, and sorting by date or title.
- **A page for every batch**: Each batch has a page with an overview, the syllabus chapter by chapter, the materials included, the fee, the duration and an Add to cart button.
- **Student accounts and checkout**: Students can register for an account, sign in with a password, an emailed link or a passkey, and pay for a batch through a cart and checkout.
- **Faculty and their subjects**: The Our Team page introduces each faculty member, with the subjects they teach and a line about their background.
- **A searchable table of past students**: A page reached from the About us menu lists past students by course, group and exam sitting, in a table that can be filtered by course and searched.
- **Contact, blog and policies**: The contact page holds the address, phone, email, a contact form and a Google map, and the footer links the blog and the refund, privacy and terms pages.

## Services and tech: Which platform and plugins does the site use?

The site runs on WordPress, with an education theme, a learning management plugin for the courses and a shop plugin for fees, as its page source shows.

Services used:

- [Web Design & Development](https://techrethought.com/services/web-design-development)

Seen in the page source:

- **WordPress**: The site and its pages are managed in WordPress. (The WordPress generator meta tag, and wp-content and wp-includes paths throughout the page source.)
- **EduBlink theme and Elementor**: Pages are laid out with the EduBlink education theme and the Elementor page builder. (Assets under wp-content/themes/edublink and wp-content/plugins/elementor, and the Elementor generator meta tag.)
- **Tutor LMS**: Courses, lessons, student registration and sign-in run on Tutor LMS. (The TutorLMS generator meta tag, tutor-course-filter parameters on the category links, and tutor-registration-form on the student registration page.)
- **WooCommerce**: The cart and checkout that take course fees run on WooCommerce. (The WooCommerce generator meta tag, and the cart and checkout pages linked from the footer.)
- **WordPress form and reCAPTCHA**: The contact page's form runs on a WordPress form plugin and is protected by Google reCAPTCHA. (A Contact Form 7 (wpcf7) form on the contact-us page, and Google's recaptcha api.js loaded with a site key.)

## Outcome: What can a CA, CMA or CS student do there today?
